Chuggington. . .
It’s Patrick’s favourite show on TV. He could watch it all day, or play with his Chuggington trains.
Back in my day, we didn’t even have kids TV. We had some Looney Toons cartoons and Mickey Mouse Club, and on Sunday nights we’d watch The Young Talent Time, with Johnny Young. We also had Simon Townsend’s Wonder World as we got older. But today’s kids have a plethora of programmes to choose from, a myriad of heroes and heroines to admire. Some favour Thomas, others Ben 10, whilst Woody and Buzz Lightyear are amongst the most popular.
But for Paddy, it’s all about Wilson and Brewster and Coco. He walks through the house singing “Chug-ging-ton, Chugga chugga chugga
chugga Chuggington” and “Back in two clickety clacks”.
Yes, he’s a Chuggington boy. And I know it won’t be forever, but for now I love that he’s a typical little boy with typical little boy heroes.
And I love my little boy.
