I love the fact I can control Depth of Field on my camera. It was something I never really knew, let alone understood, before I started learning (finally) how to use my DSLR properly.
But now I love it.
I love that Saraya can hold teeny shells in her hand and, using my DOF settings, I can turn a rather ordinary and quite boring photo into something more beautiful, and yet simple at the same time. I never realised I could have such control over my images. But I’m learning that I do.
Believe me, I still have a LONG way to go before I’ll be comfortable using my camera. In the meantime, I’m just going to have fun trying new techniques and getting different perspectives on everyday subjects. And one day, I will finally be what I consider to be a good photographer.
