I’ve been doing a 365 project since the beginning of 2013. And though I may have the odd day where I falter, for the most part I’m pretty consistent.
This year is no exception.
But a few weeks ago, a friend of mine mentioned she was looking for a 365 blog circle. I had no idea of anyone that was doing one. And she suggested she’d start up one if enough people were interested. Well, typical me who likes to over-commit, I said yes. Luckily, it’s not such a hard task, since my photos are already taken and I generally have a little blurb to post about them.
And so “And then we snapped” was born. Welcome to week 1.
The deal is, you read my blog, and follow the link highlighted at the end to see the other blogs in the circle. It’s fun, it really is.
27th July – 2nd August
Day 208 – A day at the beach, a day without James. It was a perfectly “normal” day, something we don’t get to experience often as our “normal” is different to the “normal” of most other families. You can read my blog about that day here – Being Normal.
Day 209 – This afternoon, I went to the post office and was handed a large envelope. Inside the envelope were these wonderful hand-drawn pictures by our gorgeous mate in England, Cam Edmonds (another little boy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, like my eldest son James). If you knew how hard it was for boys like James and Cam to draw and write, you’d appreciate how much effort these drawings took. Not only were these pictures inside the envelope, but also some hand drawn cards for us. James and Charlyse are tickled pink with their pictures, and have asked me to buy some frames so they can put them on their wall.
Day 210 – A quiet and rare hour where Charlyse and I could spend some quality time together, chatting about her day and school. Oh, and she could indulge in a caramel slice. What can I say? She has a sweet tooth.
Day 211 – I didn’t take any photos today. Instead, I edited some images from our trip to America last year, to include in our family holiday book. This was one of my favourites, taken on the waterfront in San Diego.
Day 212 – And all is quiet once again.
Day 213 – A girl and her best friend, waiting for me at the door.
Day 214 – Does anyone else think my child looks decidedly like Linda Blair in this image? I’m just waiting for her head to start spinning. LOL!
Now that you’ve checked out my blog, please check out the next blog in the circle by my friend Lori’s blog.
