Sweet Saraya – The Blog » A mum with a camera, keeping her loved ones in the frame.

And then we snapped – 12/10-18/10

This week has been manic (again? I hear you ask).

On Monday, I started a long awaited photography workshop called Elements of Design. I registered back in September, waiting up until after 1am on the day registrations opened, so I could reserve one of the coveted 30 places. I squealed with delight when I got through.

Week 1 has been about lines, so I’ve been looking for lines everywhere. That said, not every shot was to do with the workshop. After all, I still have to preserve my family’s life in digital colour (or B&W) and that means shooting whenever I can. My mum was in town, so it wasn’t always easy to shoot. I just wish I’d gotten a photo of my mum whilst she was here. I miss her already.

Anyway, here are this week’s images.

Day 285 – Enjoying the early summer weather and surf.

Day 286 – A quiet moment of solitude, reading without disruption.

Day 287 – Patrick is nervous to go into his room, he’s scared of ghosts and monsters. They all have been scared recently.

Day 288 – Sleeping with the lights on, to keep the monsters/ghosts at bay.

Day 289 – A big bath for a little boy.

I have kept it short and sweet. I’m off to watch TV – catching up on my new favourite show, Madam Secretary. So please click on the link to follow the blog circle, and to see what my amazingly talented friend Mary Slone | Memphis Lifestyle Photographer has been up to.

See you next week. xxx
